On January 9th, I went to the movies by myself to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Why did I go by myself? Well, simply, I didn’t have anyone else to go with, I was off work, and I was bored out of my mind. I checked the website for Paragould Cinema to see what was playing and Benjamin Button was by far the longest at 3 hours. (You read my review of the movie, posted as yesterday’s Pic-A-Day post here. I didn’t like the movie so much.) I also went because it was Thursday. According to their website Thursday is College ID night. Bring your college ID and get your ticket for $5.75 plus get free drink and popcorn. I thought well that’s cool. A 3 hour movie and soda and popcorn for $5.75.

This is what I got. I was like…wow. thanks. really. (/sarcasm) I don’t guess I should have expected any more for free, but somehow, I did. I ended up eating almost all the popcorn and drinking all the soda before the previews even started. I went back and spent $7.25 for a full sized soda and popcorn. If I was going for a regular length movie, I probably could have made it without, but for my 3 hour movie, I had to have something.
