Today, I officially throw in the towel on the pic-a-day thing. I wasn’t really sure I’d be able to do it when I undertook it at the first of january. However, it was an awesome goal. When I started back to school, I realized very quickly that there was no way. I’m just too busy to get on here and make a post every day. Some days, I have time to post three posts and I just don’t think about it.
The title of this post comes from something I remembered earlier today. In 4th grade language class we had to keep a journal. The thing was the size of a medium sized paper-back book and held spaces for all 7 days of the week within two pages. My language class was right after lunch. We had 10 minutes of “journal time” at the first of class. We were supposed to use this journal to practice our writing skills and to get things off of our minds. They were never graded. They were never checked. It was just the teacher’s way of trying to get us to express ourselves a little bit.
I’ve never been just all that expressive of a person. So in about 80% of those little boxes for the days, I wrote:

Today
Was
Fine

That’s it. I wrote it in big enough letters that it filled the entire box for that day. I usually used the rest of the journal time to either just sit there or take a small nap. I think that kinda leads to where I am today with this blog. Some days I’m feeling really expressive and I need to get some things off my mind. Other days, a daily post would be the modern day equivalent of “today was fine.” I don’t see the purpose of wasting space on the internet with posts like that.
So from now on, I will post a picture when I have one, and I will make posts when I actually have something to say. There might be a month between posts. There might be an hour. That’s the beauty of the personal blog. I have NO constraints. :)
