**Editor’s Note: Today, I’m making up for missing several days’ worth of my Pic-A-Day posts. I could edit the dates, but some of this stuff has happened after that date, so it wouldn’t make sense. Therefore, I’m going to post them all on today’s date.**
To keep this a pic-a-day post, I’m including the poster. Afterwards, you can see my review.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Information from Yahoo! Movies:
“I was born under unusual circumstances.” And so begins “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man’s life can be.

This is the longest movie that has been released in a long time. Running at almost 3 hours, you get your money’s worth for the ticket (if you’re talking about simply the amount of time you get to sit in the movie theater). The movie was too long in my opinion. There are some movies that are long because it takes that long to tell the actual story (for example, Lord of the Rings). Then there are movies that are long because there are parts of the story that are long and drawn out but don’t have to be. It took almost an hour for me to actually get “in” to the movie. The first 45 minutes or so is just…really boring in my opinion. After that, it gets interesting for a little while. The portion of the movie that portrays the middle part of his life (from his 40′s til about his 20′s) is interesting. But then the ending goes back to being boring.
So what’s the concept of the movie? A baby is born at baby size but with the body make-up of an 80 year old. His body grows and develops like any kid’s would, except that instead of growing older, he is growing younger. The whole idea is just bizzare. In my opinion, its not believable. He starts as baby sized but 80, and develops into a full body. But then when he dies, he’s back to baby size. It doesn’t make any sense. I guess some movies are based on things that don’t make sense. But most of the time, they at least try to make it somewhat believable. This, in my opinion wasn’t.
Overall rating? 2 out of 5 bananas. It wasn’t horrible. But it wasn’t great. It was too long. It could have been an hour shorter and still told the same story. I wouldn’t go see it again. And I won’t rent or buy the DVD.
