I’ve been waiting to make this post for a few weeks now. I had to wait for a few things to come together before I could make it for sure.

First, I would like to announce that I am going to be starting a new job! It isn’t an IT job, unfortunately. However, I am excited about it just the same. I will be working for Schwan’s Home Delivery Service. I will be driving one of their route trucks that goes around and delivers food to people’s houses. I interviewed with them two weeks ago. I did a ride along with one of their drivers last week. It was mostly what I expected it to be. The job itself isn’t that hard. The only thing is that it will be long hours. I will be working from about 8:30am to 8:30pm Monday through Friday once everything is started. I got the call today from the GM offering me the job. I go tomorrow to fill out paperwork and take a drug test. I will then have to take a physical at some point. Once I actually start with Schwan’s, I will start out in training. I won’t have my own route for a while. I will eventually be taking over a territory and building up my own route. So… If you need Schwan’s food, or would like a catalog, and aren’t currently getting serviced by another Schwan’s employee, give me a call at 870-974-3949 and I will hook you up.

Starting this job, I will be working 60+ hours a week, so there is no way I could hold down another job and be able to sleep at all. This means that after six and a half years, I will finally be leaving Walmart. I will miss seeing the people I’ve come to know over the past 6 years, but I will not miss the work environment. I am especially thrilled that I am getting out of there right before the crazy busy holiday season starts. I’ve already went through one Saturday sale and I’m going to have to endure one more before I’m done there. Just so everyone knows, there will be an electronics position coming open in the next week at Walmart on Highland in Jonesboro, if anyone is interested. I don’t recommend it, but if you’re needing a job while in college or whatever, it is at least a job.

Also, with this new job, I will finally be able to afford my own place! I have a meeting on Wednesday to view one of the Craighill Townhomes in Jonesboro. I don’t plan on moving out for about a month, but it might end up being a little sooner if I have to in order to secure getting this place. And that is if I even like the inside of it. There are no pictures of the inside listed on the company’s website. But… the website looks like it was created in the stoneage.

There’s one more thing, and I saved the best for last. I have a girlfriend! Most people reading this already know that I have a girlfriend, but don’t know much about her. So here is my formal introduction to all of my net people. Her name is Traci. She is 21 years old and is from Conway. We met online through a chat service called airG. We’ve been talking since either late August or early September (we can’t remember, exactly). We officially got together on October 10, 2010. Yes, 10-10-10. Very memorable. We’ve kinda joked around that since we got together on 10-10-10 we need to get engaged on 11-11-11 and married on 12-12-12. But who knows…maybe that will actually happen. We’ve only been able to see each other on the weekends because of the distance and our work schedules. Hopefully, once I get my apartment, that will all change and we’ll get to spend more time together. I’m excited at the idea of being able to spend more time with her. She has been really good to me. She accepted that I have a son and has actually wanted to know about him. She hasn’t met him yet, but that should be happening soon. I’ve met her mom, dad, little sister, and grandparents. I feel that this relationship is going the way a relationship is supposed to go, unlike previous relationships I’ve had which were based on the wrong things and just didn’t work out at all. I like to think that I’ve grown up and matured a lot because of those past relationships and I will be the best I can be in this one. I can really see it lasting, and I hope it does.
*Update* This didn’t work out. That’s all I really want to say about it at this point. *End Update*

So that’s what’s been going on with my life. I’ve been quiet on here because I had to wait for some things to for sure come together before I could post for sure.
